Explanation

Let us review the sounds from Units 10–12. A syllable is a beat in a word: tablet has two, computer has three. er is a soft sound at the end of teacher, farmer and water. We add er to a verb to make a job word: paint, painter. gg says /g/ in egg. nn says /n/ in runner. tt says /t/ in butter and kitten. Then look at the Now I can list. Say Yes if you can do it. Say Not yet if you need more practice.
