Irregular past verbs
Some verbs do not end in -ed in the past. We must learn them: am and is become was, are becomes were, have becomes had, run becomes ran, buy becomes bought, wear becomes wore, see becomes saw and go becomes went. Some other verbs do end in -ed: baked, cooked, stayed and travelled. Yesterday I went to the market. I saw a gold ring. I bought a small gift. We cooked rice and stayed at home.
