Connect P3 Term 2: Unit 8
GoalRead words with spr and str and say how we can save water.
New words
spr · the sounds /spr/ in spring and spraystr · the sounds /str/ in street and strawberrysave · to keep and not wastetap · the part of a sink that we turn for water
Explanation
Two new sounds. spr has three letters: spring, spray, sprout. str has three letters too: street, strawberry, string, strong. Say the three sounds fast. Then we think about water. Egypt gets its water from the Nile, so we must save it. We say: Turn off the tap. Take a short shower. Do not leave the tap on. A little water saved every day helps a lot.
