Review: circus and shapes
Let us review Unit 6. We ask: What does the clown look like? We answer: He is tall and thin. We name shapes with four sides: a square, a rectangle and a rhombus. We ask: What’s that? We answer: It’s my ruler. It’s a rectangle. We count with a tally chart. We read a bar chart and say which bar is the highest.
| Shape | What is special? |
|---|---|
| square | four equal sides, four square corners |
| rectangle | two long sides, two short sides |
| rhombus | four equal sides, like a diamond |
What does the trapeze artist look like?

My brother has a blue bag. The bag is a rectangle. It is on the chair. His ruler is in the bag. The ruler is a long rectangle. His square box is next to the bag.
Shape and person game. The grown-up gives two clues, one about a person and one about a shape. For example: I am a person. I make people laugh. I am a shape. I have four equal sides. The child says: the clown, the square. Then the child gives clues.
