Pollute, recycle, reuse
We must look after our Earth. When people throw rubbish in the river, they pollute it. We should not pollute. We can plant trees. We can recycle paper, glass and plastic. We can reuse things too: an old jar can hold pencils. We ask: What do you recycle? We answer: I recycle paper.
| Word | What it means |
|---|---|
| pollute | make something dirty |
| recycle | make old paper, glass or plastic into new things |
| reuse | use a thing again |
| plant | put a tree in the ground |
What do you recycle, Mostafa?
I recycle paper. What do you recycle?
I recycle glass and plastic.
Let us reuse this old jar for our pencils.
Good idea! Our Earth is happy.
Our class cleans the river bank. We do not throw plastic bags in the water. We put old paper in a special bin. We plant a small tree. The river is clean and the animals are happy.
Reuse challenge. The child finds three things at home that can be used again: an old jar, a cardboard box, paper with one clean side. The child says what each can be used for: We can reuse the jar for pencils. Then the child makes one useful thing and shows the family.
