Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Measure three things with a ruler (a spoon, a book, a toothbrush). Write each length in cm.
Any correct measurements, with the object starting at 0 and cm written after each number.
2
Find one thing that is about 10 cm long, one about 50 cm and one about 1 m. Check with a ruler.
Examples: a crayon, a school bag’s width, a door handle’s height. Allow a few cm either way.

A ribbon is 6 cm long and another is 9 cm long. How much longer is the second ribbon? How long are they together?
9 − 6 = 3 cm longer. 6 + 9 = 15 cm together.
