Explanation

In a library we are quiet, we hold books gently and we return them. A monkey lives in the jungle, a fish lives in the sea and a camel lives in the desert. In the story, Goldilocks eats the porridge, sits on the chair and sleeps in the bed. At the end she says sorry and all are happy.

Teacher

Class, we are in the library now. Please use a quiet voice.

Nada

Yes, teacher. May I borrow this book?

Teacher

Yes. Please return it next week.

Listen. What does Nada’s teacher say at the library door? Say the rule.

First, the three bears go for a walk. Next, Goldilocks comes in and tastes the porridge. Then she sleeps in Baby Bear’s bed. Last, she says sorry and they are all happy.

Listen to a short retelling. Which part comes first?
Now you. Tell a grown-up one library rule and one animal home.
Class activity

Story and habitat game. Draw a jungle, a sea and a desert on paper. A grown-up says an animal. You put your finger on its home and say: The camel lives in the desert. Then retell the Goldilocks story with First, Next, Then, Last.
