Problems. Assembling a circuit
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
A current of 100 mA flows for 20 min at 6 V. How much work (J) did the source do?
720
2
A current of 0.5 A flows through a device for 2 min. How many electrons passed?
q = 0.5 · 120 = 60 C; N = 60 : 1.6·10⁻¹⁹ = 3.75·10²⁰.
3
A voltmeter scale goes up to 10 V with 50 divisions; the pointer is at division 35. How many volts?
7
4
What should be done if the lamps become hot in the lab?
Open the switch and tell the teacher; do not touch the hot lamp, wait for it to cool.

Draw the lab circuit diagram in your notebook with the symbols for ammeter, voltmeter, switch and lamps.
Source – switch – ammeter – lamp1 – lamp2 in series; the voltmeter in parallel to one lamp.
