Pattern 1: start at 0, add 2. Pattern 2: start at 0, add 8. Write the first five ordered pairs and say how the numbers are related.
(0, 0), (2, 8), (4, 16), (6, 24), (8, 32). The second number is 4 times the first.

A taxi charges 6 LE for every kilometre. Complete the pairs (1, __), (2, __), (3, __), (4, __) and find the cost of 10 km.
(1, 6), (2, 12), (3, 18), (4, 24). 10 km cost 10 × 6 = 60 LE.
3
The graph shows how far Hana cycled in 1, 2 and 3 hours. Find her speed and how far she goes in 4 hours.
She cycles 15 km each hour (15, 30, 45 km). In 4 hours: 4 × 15 = 60 km.

Choose a scale for the values 30, 60, 90 and 120 and say how many squares you need.
Let each square stand for 30. You need 4 squares.

Mina’s plant is 3 cm tall in week 1, 6 cm in week 2 and 9 cm in week 3. Write the ordered pairs and predict its height in week 5 if it keeps growing in the same way.
(1, 3), (2, 6), (3, 9). It grows 3 cm each week, so in week 5 it is 15 cm tall.
