Explanation

Review: writing expresses thought in signs and links generations; the Uzbek people used the Aramaic, Kushan, Sogdian, Orkhon-Yenisei, Arabic, Latin and Cyrillic scripts; since 1993 the Latin-based alphabet is used. The alphabet has 26 letters, 3 letter combinations and a glottal mark. Sentence stress and intonation help convey thought correctly. Even ancient Egyptian inscriptions say that being literate brings happiness: a person who can read and write finds his place in life through his own effort.

Worked examples
Writing is memory: it keeps words on paper and passes them to the next generation.
«Mutolaa» means reading a book and learning from it.
Class activity

In groups fill in a table “What do we know about writing?”: script name, when used, what it was written on.
